Self-Chilling Can Introduced at InterBev 2000

Orleans, LA -- Tempra Technology, developers
of proprietary, patented self-chilling and self-heating

the all new "I.C. Can™" to beverage industry
leaders here today at the InterBev exposition.
The Instant Cool Can (I.C. Can™) features
an innovative self-chilling process proven to
lower the temperature of its contents by over
30 degrees Fahrenheit in just three minutes.
Through the partnership with Crown Cork & Seal,
Tempra's I.C. Can™ is now in final development
for commercialization and mass production. The
partners are already in discussion with top beverage
companies interested in being first to license
this exciting new package and offer their product
in the ultimate convenience package: one which
chills its contents on demand, without an ice
chest, electricity or dangerous gases.
The
self-chilling can is one of the most talked about ideas
in the history of packaging. Until now, no one has been
able to deliver a safe, effective and manufacturable
product.
 The
I.C. Can's™ advanced design uses the latest breakthroughs
in thermal, insulating and vacuum heat pump technology.
Tempra's patented process combines simple evaporation
with space-age vacuum power, which draws heat from the
beverage into an insulated heat sink chamber. It's completely
self-contained. It's also totally safe, non-toxic and
environmentally friendly. The I.C. Can™ uses no
carbon dioxide, CFC, HFC or compressed gases. When activated,
the contents' temperature drops quickly and dramatically.
